What's new in EasyAccrue July 2026

At EasyAccrue we pride ourselves on listening to our customers. The feedback we receive from users directly shapes what we build. This release is a good example of that -almost all of the updates below came directly from conversations with accounting practices who told us what would make their month end process easier.

Here's everything that's new.

Monthly schedule report

You can now run a monthly schedule report showing your accruals and prepayments movements and balances on a monthly basis. This gives you a clear picture of how each adjustment is being spread across periods, making it much easier to review and reconcile at month end.

Separate accrual and prepayment reports

Previously you could choose to print accruals and prepayments together or separately. You now select either accruals or prepayments when running reports. Separating them out gives you a cleaner, more focused view and also enables us to continue enhancing our reporting features in future releases.

Contact name and reference on every adjustment

Each adjustment now shows the contact name and reference pulled directly from Xero. You can see at a glance exactly which supplier or client each accrual or prepayment relates to — no more cross-referencing between EasyAccrue and Xero.

You can also group accruals and prepayments by contact name across all your reports, making it much easier to review your position by supplier.

Journals now split between accruals and prepayments

When you post to Xero, accruals and prepayments are now posted as separate journals. This keeps your Xero ledger cleaner and makes reconciliation more straightforward.

Cleaner journal descriptions

Journal line descriptions are now more concise and include the contact name where available. Your Xero journals will be much easier to read and review at a glance.

Improved adjustments table

The adjustments table has been redesigned to use space more efficiently. You can now see more information without scrolling, making it easier to manage larger volumes of adjustments.

More accurate prepayments from imported bills

Prepayments created from imported Xero bills now correctly take into account the initial invoice amount. This gives you more accurate calculations from the start, particularly useful when bills are imported partway through a recognition period.

Smoother login for new users

A small but important fix — new users will now always be redirected to the dashboard after setting their password. No extra steps, straight in and ready to go.

All of these updates are live now and available to all users at no extra cost.
